Dedicated to bringing you original detailed articles and information as to help you achieve the best performance possible out of you and your DSLR. In late 2009 I first became interested in switching from a traditional video camera to a dslr.

Not convinced it was the right move, I spent a continuous two months researching all I could about dslr cameras. Ultimately I decided to give it a shot and have had no regrets since. Though, along my journey of research I was a bit frustrated with the flood of information on the internet and did not find many clear, concrete, and comprehensive answers for what I was looking for. I started AmericanDSLR.com as a way to document the culmination everything I learned, with hope that others in my situation could benefit from the months of research I had already put in.

I began and am now committed to dedicating a large portion of my content to articles never before seen, with answers never before found. Additionally I am drawn to the complex beauty of time lapses, and time lapse theory; I will be sharing all that I learn on this subject as well.
