  4. Hi Evan!  Thanks so much!  Your class is helping me alot.  These are the two lenses that I have:

    -AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II non-VR lens
    -AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5/6G ED non-VR lens

What lense would you recommend next?  The 50mm?  As a compiliment or a step up?

    Thanks!

    Eric

    @Cartoonbystan Thompson.
There is no difference regarding lenses, a lens is a lens, but the camera must match the 'mount-type ' of the lens, i.e., Nikon 'F, etc, etc.
You can also (practically) fit any lens to any camera with an adapter.
You could also take your lens to a camera shop and ask their advice.
What make of lens is it, and what SLR camera do you use it with?
    Good luck the search.

Pardon my ignorance, but is it possible to fit an ordinary slr lens to a dslr camera ?

  13. Thanks bro learned a lot.

  14. My setup is the 50mm and soon the 18-200mm by nikon. Going to sell the kit lens.

  15. Wrong, the Nikon AF 50mm f/1.4D lens isn't the sharpest. The Nikon 50mm f/1.2 AI-S Lens is.

  16. Thanks a lot.

  17. tqvm

  18. I LOVE TO KNOW THESE.

  19. Can you get a shallow field of depth on the 18-50 lens, where the background is fussy and the front is in focus? Or can that only be done with a 50mm lens?

  20. I am gonna buy a Canon 700D and wonder which lense/lenses I should buy.
I am gonna use it to shoot like close ups on flowers ( macro? ) and other nature stuff.
I also want the camera to shoot great landscape pictures from far away.
Last thing is, I want to use the camera to take like street pictures, and on people.

Is a 50mm. a good choice then? And if it is, which other lenses/lense do I need to fit my shooting objects?
